The name of Bushido started in 1984 when Master Butler and two of his students (Winston Matthews and Cynthia Thompson) were looking for a place to train for the day. No place was available due to the cold and rain, so they trained together outside. Due to their commitment to the arts, Master Butler stated that they had the Bushido spirit within them, and from that day on they’ve talked about the code of Bushido, and what Bushido (The way of the respected warrior) means.
History
The instructors of bushido goals for the student is to make sure that the students have a good strong foundation. In order to achieve this foundation we must follow the manual to the fullest. The first student of bushido will be trained in the same manner and concept of the instructor. In order for us to last in the martial arts, the student must go out and establish more schools with the bushido concept and same style of training and dedication to the arts.
Future
Our system in which we call “the universal system” will able students to be compatible and acceptable anywhere in the world in the martial arts society. Our system is under the principles of soft, medium, and hard. The students of bushido are skilled in three principles including fighting, kata, and weapons training. Our soft system can be recognized as kung-fu or tai-chi. Our medium system can be recognized as shorin-ryu or shorei-goju karate, and our hard style system can be recognized by tae-kwon-do. the students of bushido are not trained for tournament competition. They concentrate on self defense techniques against one or several attackers, including weapons (clubs, guns and knives).

The seal
The seal of the school we wear over our hearts is a circle inside of a circle, with the right hand. The reason we choose the right hand is because it is close to our hearts. Our colors our black (for the people), red (for blood which we shed), and green (for the land which shows life and development).
